New Launches From Make-Up Revolution!

Monday 15 December 2014

Makeup Revolution is fast becoming my favourite drugstore makeup brand - they're constantly releasing the most incredible, high quality makeup at exceptional prices. I recently got a package of all their new launches, which I'm going to be sharing with you today. These gorgeous new items would be perfect additions to your stocking wish-list or even if you're still on the hunt for some Christmas gifts! So let's take a closer look:

Makeup Revolution Ultra Blush And Contour Palette in Golden Sugar, £6.00
How beautiful is this palette?! It's hands-down the most stunning collection of face powders I've ever seen! The palette has a variety of highlighters, blushes and bronzers which will compliment all skin tones. The pay-off of the powders is impeccable - they're not too glittery, they just have the perfect amount of shimmer. They have also included one matte bronzer, so you really can't ask for any more!
Some of the shades remind me of some of MAC's most famous Mineralise products too! The second from the left on the top is incredibly similar to MAC's Dainty blush, and the second from the right on the bottom reminds me of the famous Soft And Gentle highlighter. The powders have the perfect consistency, they're not too chunky or chalky, they really smooth over the skin. I couldn't recommend this palette enough, it's an absolute steal at £6!

This photograph doesn't even do the colours justice. To be honest, I actually prefer the highlighters in this palette to my MAC highlighters, which are about triple the price of the entire palette!

The One Fluid Blusher in Rush Me, £3.00
Makeup Revolution recently launched a whole collection of The One Blush Sticks, which I absolutely loved (you can read my review of the entire collection here!), so I couldn't wait to see how this compared. When you apply it to your face, it immediately feels velvety on your skin and dries to a powder finish. It feels amazing! The colour is absolutely beautiful, it's a fantastic dupe for NARS' Orgasm blush.
It lasts so well, with or without setting powder. There's also a fabulous range of colours to choose from, so be sure to take a look on the Makeup Revolution website to find one to suit you!
They're all also budge-proof and waterproof, so there's no complaints with this product either!

Makeup Revolution Ultra Aqua Brow in Medium, £3.00
When I first opened this product, I was instantly reminded of the Makeup Forever Aqua Brow, which I have always heard rave reviews about.
However it's fairly pricey so to find a drugstore alternative is fantastic! This applies so creamy and smoothly into the brows and defines and shapes them so well. It's so easy to work with, which I was surprised by as I don't have much experience with working with these types of brow products. The tube also allows you to squeeze out a really precise amount of product to completely minimise wastage. I like to apply this using Real Technique's Brow Brush, as it's synthetic and it's really easy to clean after using cream products.

Makeup Revolution The Viper Mascara, £3.00
I have never seen a mascara wand like this before! It does actually look like a snake head! The best way I could describe the wand is that it's like a little spoon! It catches all of your lashes so that they're evenly coated. giving you the most incredibly volumised and full lashes. The only mascara I can think of that has a brush with a similar design is the Maybelline The Falsies Black Drama mascara, but I hated how the wand was flexible. I think this is much more effective as the wand is stiff. It's completely budge-proof and is the blackest of black. The price of this mascara is exceptional, considering it's better than most high-end mascaras!

Makeup Revolution Iconic Dreams Palette, £4.00
Yes you read that price correctly, this little beauty is just £4! This collection of stunning bronzes, golds and greens is highly pigmented and so easy to work with. The colours blend so seamlessly and the finish of the eyeshadows are so beautiful. I think this is a perfect addition to your makeup bag for the Christmas party season as it's so versatile. You get four matte shades and the rest are shimmery, which I love as I only really use matte shades to highlight and to define the crease. The formula of these shadows also means that there's no need to wear a primer as they just stay in place effortlessly. This is also an excellent stocking filler if you're still doing some Christmas shopping!!

So they are the fantastic new releases from Makeup Revolution! Let me know what you think of them, I'm loving them!
