As you all know, I'm a huge fan of W7 cosmetics, particularly their Skin Fresh foundation. When I received the Catwalk Perfection foundation and concealer I was over the moon as I have had such good experiences with their products. Did these products live up to my expectations? Read on to find out!
The foundation is a cream compact, which I've never tried before - I tend to gravitate towards liquid foundations. I decided to use my MAC 187 stippling brush to apply it, and it worked effortlessly with the cream compact. The coverage of the foundation is full and flawless - nothing shows through it!
I think this would make the ultimate night-out foundation as it's absolutely flawless, I didn't feel the need to add any concealer at all when I wore this.
The longevity of the foundation most definitely surpassed my expectations - I hadn't applied a primer underneath and I only dusted a light amount of powder on my t-zone - but it stayed flawless all day. It didn't cake around my nose or begin to make my pores visible like some foundations tend to do when they begin to wear.
I have the shade Biscuit and it matches my skin perfectly, but I would recommend researching carefully before choosing a shade as W7 shades can run slightly darker than most drugstore foundations, in my experience.
I absolutely love the packaging of this product - it's a compact, but when you lift the top layer up, you find a mirror and a sponge. This is ideal if you wanted to bring your foundation with you for touch-ups during the day (not that you need to with this little guy!).
I have tried several W7 foundations and this is my favourite so far. Make sure to keep your eyes peeled because I'm currently trialling another one which I will be reviewing next week!
The W7 Catwalk Foundation retails for £4.95 and comes in three shades.
To pair with the foundation, W7 have released a matching concealer. You certainly won't feel the need to add additional concealer to the coverage of the Catwalk Foundation, so I predominantly tested it with lighter coverage foundations.
The coverage of the concealer is incredibly high coverage - I would say it's nearly on par with MAC Pro-Longwear and Kat Von D's Tattoo concealer! I was shocked at how little I needed to cover up any redness on my skin.
I have the shade light, but I wouldn't use it for highlighting, as it matches my skin tone perfectly. I use it purely to conceal. However, I did try it under my eyes to see if it creased or faded throughout the day - extraordinarily, it didn't! I have very few concealers that I can say this about so I'm majorly impressed, considering the price point of the concealer.
I also love the doe-foot applicator, it makes it so much easier to conceal the under-eye area!
I have always had great experiences with W7 concealer - their Skin Fresh is one of my go-to concealers - so I'm delighted to report back that this is another excellent release from them.
The Catwalk Concealer retails for £3.95 and comes in two shades.
What do you think of the range?
